Becca & James' Wedding - What A Beauty!

Well what can I say other than what an absolutely beautiful, calm, and relaxed wedding Becca & James pulled out of the bag to start my wedding season!

The day started with a trip to the hairdressers with the girls. The girls were already there and started when I arrived, the room was filled with excitement, but as always Becca was completely calm and relaxed about the day ahead.

Next it was over to Becca’s parent's house where they had the marquee setup for their reception and where the girls continued to get ready. Becca and James wanted to keep things simple, so where possible, they (well more Becca!) set to work to hand make & craft most of the décor. Somehow, Becca even managed to squeeze in time to make the wedding cake which, along with all of the other items, looked amazing! As the girls were getting ready, Mum, Dad and Brother Dan were busy putting the final touches to the marquee, which I think you’ll agree looked Fab.

As the girls finished up, and started to get Becca into her dress, the final touches to the marquee and cars were done. I sent the rest of the family off down the beautifully landscaped garden to wait for the big reveal. I love these moments, they’re full of anticipation, excitement, and immense emotions, especially for Fathers.

Now it starts to get real. The bridesmaids head out, so next stop is the church. Quite a special church really for James’ side of the family, especially being that he would be number 6 of the 7 siblings to be married at Whitbourne Baptist chapel.

As is the norm, we were running a little behind, so it was all systems go! A quick run into the church to get a few shots of the nervous but excited James, impatiently rocking back and forth at the front of the chapel, then back out for some photos with the page boys and flower girl this time. Now it is completely real. I legged it down to the front and into position for the entrance of the bridal party and the start of the ceremony.

And boom! just like that, they're legally married!

As everyone headed off to the reception, the newlyweds took a diversion to Charlton Court, where they would be staying for their first few nights as Mr & Mrs, so I tagged along to do a quick portrait session within the stunning grounds, before heading on over to the reception to enjoy an afternoon tea with some fabulous treats from Rachel over at The Pudding Kitchen!

As the evening came, the celebrations continued and led up to the first dance, followed by more dancing and more celebrating.

The night was finally drawing to close, so one final thing to capture was the couple's 'exit'!

I hope you enjoyed seeing the highlights of Becca & James' day. Massive congratulations guys!
